Bath Buddies

This was his reaction for the first 30 seconds and then he realized he LOVED it!

Macie LOVES having somebody to share her bath time with! Even if Merrik doesn't need a bath I have to put him in there because she says "Mommy baby brother take a bath too?" She loads him up with toys and sometimes even washes his belly with water! Every now and then he gets splashed but he doesn't seem to mind. I just love that Macie has somebody to share these experiences with too... even though he is small I can tell they are going to be buddies (or at least I'm hoping so)! She adores him and he doesn't seem to mind her messing with him all the time!

Macie's very 1st Real Pony Tail!

I was able to put Macie's hair up in a pony tail today!!! Macie is 2 1/2 and just now has enough hair to squeeze into a pony tail! Macie's hair is always messy because she hates for me to even touch it... however somehow she has been able to play with and pull out my hair since she was born. I bribed her into letting me do her hair with a popsicle for breakfast... I know not a great thing for breakfast... but I was dying to do her hair ;) ! I think she looks so much older! Wow what a big girl she is turning into! I just absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE her!

Scalloping

Merrik kept flopping his little leg out of the sun shade... I think he just didn't want us to forget he was in there!

So I'm totally hooked on scalloping! Each year I get sooo excited! I know that Michael thinks I'm crazy because I told him in January that I was excited that scalloping season was almost here... he was like Kate it is still 6 months away! Anyways, I think it is so much fun and I'm so happy that we were able to go this year again. Macie loves being out on the boat and Merrik was great too! Considering he had to wear a life jacket that about swallows him bc he is still so little.

Merrik's Blessing Day

Michael gave Merrik a beautiful blessing today! We are so blessed to have so much family to share the day with! I am so thankful that Michael holds the preisthood and can give our children blessings. Merrik was so great through the blessing... he didn't cry at all (something that I was nervous about). He is such an amazing addition to our family and we are so thankful to have him in our lives.

I took the kids to the beach with my mom, Rick, and Natalie while Michael went to Smoothie King conference in Lousiana. What a blast! I took Macie in the ocean a few times which I don't normally do because I don't like the ocean but since daddy wasn't here it was my turn. I rerally enjoyed it! Each time a wave came I would throw her up in the air... what a work out! I loved spending time with everybody ... they are always so good to us! Thank you mom, Rick and Natalie for letting us barge in on your trip!
